The Play Space

    • A program of Playing At Learning.

    • A home for all FIRST programs in Northern California, including FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST Tech Challenge, FIRST LEGO League Challenge and FIRST LEGO League Explore.

    • A space for interested students to learn about engineering, technology, robotics and more.

    • A space for volunteers to learn about the programs.

    • A space to PLAY!

The Play Space serves as a home for all of the FIRST progression of programs for Northern California.

The Play Space is located at 2215 Oakland Rd - Suite B, San Jose, CA 95131.

The building is located just off I-880 at Montague (here is a Google Map link)

Playing At Learning

Playing At Learning is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. Playing At Learning was founded in 2004 with the specific mission of fostering technology-based STEM enrichment programs for K-12 students.

Playing At Learning serves as the Northern California affiliate partner for Jr. FIRST LEGO League, FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge and is active in the FIRST Robotics Community.

Playing At Learning serves as the affiliate partner for Northern California for FTC and FLL.

FIRST

FIRST is a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Manchester, NH.

FIRST was founded in 1989 to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology. Based in Manchester, NH, the 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit public charity designs accessible, innovative programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills.

FIRST delivers 4 exciting, inspiring youth technology programs:

    • FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)

    • FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)

    • FIRST LEGO League (FLL)

    • Jr. FIRST LEGO League (JrFLL)

FIRST California

FIRST California is the primary organization in Calfornia for the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) program. They are responsible for the coordination of FRC Kickoff Events and all of the FRC Regional Competitions that take place in California (Central Valley Regional, Inland Empire Regional, Los Angeles Regional, Sacramento Regional, Sacramento Regional, San Diego Regional, Silicon Valley Regional)
